Rotherweird is the first in a beautifully woven fantasy trilogy by andrew caldecott infused with the feel of the victorian and the gothic much of the novel is given to world building and incorporates detailed descriptions of the anachronistic town rotherweird and its rather eccentric inhabitants. Rotherweird illustration by sasha laika caldecotts preamble may seem overlong but from this point the action heats up and the cast comes together vixen valourhand is a reckless young . Wyntertide is the sequel to rotherweird and even though it was a great follow up i dont think it was as good as the original was the characters and the story were all there and caldecotts writing really helped sell the story but it just wasnt a good as the first one was.
